Teaching Staff
The heart, soul and energy of GV Vancouver are
largely generated by the interesting and eclectic mix of teachers. At
GV Vancouver we aim to keep a large and rich variety of teachers to
ensure that the right teacher is matched to the right program and level,
and also to ensure that students are kept interested and motivated.
Another unique feature about the GV Vancouver staff is the low turn-over rate. The teachers develop strong bonds with fellow teachers and maintain supportive professional relationships with their colleagues and with the managing staff. The teachers are highly qualified and experienced: all hold a university degree and a TESL Canada approved teaching qualification as minimum requirements. Many teachers do postgraduate training, become specialists in particular areas of teaching, and lead workshops at professional development conferences.

An activity is scheduled almost every day, including weekend day trips or overnight trips to Victoria, Tofino, Seattle, Whistler, central British Columbia and the Rocky Mountains. Simon and Sarah both have a number of years of experience in running trips and events and together they have a wealth of information for students on what they can do in Vancouver while studying at the school.
